Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith consider and pass orders on the application of the petitioner's mother dated 2.1.2019 as well as the application of the petitioner dated 12.5.2019 for compassionate appointment.

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2019 and the subsequent reminder dated 12.05.2019.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and Mr.David Sundarsingh, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the petitioner has given an application dated 02.01.2019 seeking compassionate appointment on account of death of her father, but no orders have been passed, despite reminder dated 12.5.2019. Hence, the petitioner seeks a direction to consider her representation and pass orders.

4. Considering the limited nature of the prayer, a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 02.01.2019 and subsequent reminder dated 12.05.2019 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
