This case came up for settlement before Lok Adalat. All the parties are present. Ms.M.Malar, Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Natarajan, learned counsel for the fifth respondent are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between all the parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Writ Petition arises out of W.C.No.222 of 2010. 2.

Now, the employer Virudhagiri has settled the matter with the employee R.Gnanavel. Originally, an award was passed for Rs.4,89,240/- with interest at the rate of 12% per annum from 30.08.2008. Now, the matter has been settled between the petitioner R.Gnanavel and the 5th respondent Virudhagiri for a sum of Rs.3,50,000/- (Rupees three lakhs and fifty thousand only) in full quit and the award is passed for a sum of Rs.3,50,000/- directing the fifth respondent Virudhagiri to pay the said amount to the petitioner and the award is fully satisfied by making payment in cash of Rs.3,50,000/-. The cash is handed over to the petitioner R.Gnanavel in the presence of Ms.Malar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. M.Natarajan, learned counsel for the 5th respondent. The extract copy of the minutes of the proceedings of the fifth respondent/company is filed and recorded. The authorised person for the 5th respondent viz., Mr.K.Kolanjiyappan is present and signed.
