ORDER

The prayer made in this writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to register the employment priority certificate issued by the 3rd respondent in favour of the petitioner's son viz., S.Vijayakumar.

2.Upon notice, the respondents filed a detailed counter affidavit, inter alia stating that the land has been acquired in the year 2003; the petitioner has not obtained the LA priority certificate at that time; his son has registered his qualification on 16.07.2012 i.e., before his marriage and got married on 13.02.2013, and hence, his son is not eligible for Land acquisition priority, according to GO.MS.No.188 P&AR dated 28.12.1976.

3. Today, when the matter wastaken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submitted that the relief sought for herein has become infructuous and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in this matter.

4.In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
