The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to release the sum of Rs.21,17,868/- as claimed in the representation dated 12.05.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner College had been in the field of Education for the past 15 years and had been promoting girls to pursue higher education and excel in the field of Arabic and Islamic studies. As per the memorandum of understanding dated 28.10.2025 entered between the second respondent and the petitioner, the petitioner will be entitled to 57.5 % of the fee, and the remaining 42.5% of the fee will be owned by the Tamil Nadu Open University, the 2nd respondent herein. He further submits that the second respondent has to pay a sum of Rs.21,17,868/- as per the memorandum of understanding dated 28.10.2015. In this connection, the petitioner sent a representation dated 12.05.2025, and the same was not considered by the 2nd respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would strongly object to the contention of the petitioner, especially the alleged entitlement of the petitioner. However, he would fairly submit that they would consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.05.2025 within a reasonable time.

4. This Court has given anxious consideration to either side submissions and perused the materials available on record.

5. In such a view of the matter, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.05.2025 and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order according to its own merits and in accordance with law.

6. In the result, this writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
