..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to release the payment of Rs.80 Lakhs (Rupees Eighty Lakhs Only) for the works completed by the petitioner namely Construction of Storm Water Drain and Providing New High Mass Light and Construction of New Sintex Tank and pipeline Extension and Construction of Community Toilet and Construction of Community Toilet in the Poolampatty Town Panchayat, Salem District. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.06.2024.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner has given a representation dated 10.06.2024 to release the payment of Rs.80 lakhs (Rupees Eighty Lakhs Only), for the works completed by him viz., Construction of Storm Water Drain and providing New High Mass Light and Construction of New Sintex Tank and Pipeline Extension and Construction of Community Toilet in the Poolampatty Town Panchayat, Salem District. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the third respondent, as on date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 10.06.2024 will be disposed of by the third respondent within a period of 8 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of

the case, this Court directs the third respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.06.2024, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
