ORDER
The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to select the petitioner as P.G.Assistant (Zoology) of the Teacher's Recruitment Board under the priority of the I.C.M.
2. The petitioner states that she has completed the Post Graduation in Marine Biology in Annamalai University and earlier the Government has not promoted the petitioner, since it is not equivalent to Zoology. Therefore, she approached this Court and filed this writ petition.
3. During the pendency of the writ petition, the Government has announced for recruitment of P.G. Assistant and the petitioner also appeared for the examination on 02.07.2017.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader also stated that now, pursuant to the Government Order in G.O.(Ms).No.116, dated 22.07.2014, they will consider the petitioner's case, subject to passing of the examination conducted on 02.07.2017. Accordingly, the Additional Government Pleader prays that the writ petition may be closed by directing the respondent to consider the case, since the Post Graduate degree in Marine Biology is equivalent to Zoology and the petitioner can take class for Zoology in the Higher Secondary Course.
5. In the above circumstances, the petitioner has to comply the other conditions for the appointment of Post Graduate Teacher (Zoology). Therefore, the respondents are hereby directed to consider the case of the petitioner, by taking into account that Post Graduate Degree in Marine Biology is equivalent to Post Graduate Degree in Zoology and the petitioner may be appointed as Post Graduate Teacher in the school under the control of the respondents, subject to passing of the examination conducted on 02.07.2017.

Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No Costs.
