O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorari to call for the entire records relating to impugned order passed by the respondent in his proceedings No.Na.AEE/O&M/Town/ Mannargudi/Ko.Tha/No.230/2004 dated 15.10.2004 and to quash the same.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent. 3.The respondent vide the impugned order directed the petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.59,590/- for committing theft of energy. Challenging the same, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. This Court while entertaining the writ petition on 28.10.2004 granted an interim direction directing the respondent to restore the service connection on the petitioner after making the balance payment of Rs.59,590/-.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that as per the interim direction of this Court dated 28.10.2004, the petitioner paid the entire amount demanded by the respondent on 15.12.2004 itself and he prayed that liberty may be given to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.

5.In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed and liberty is granted to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No Costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
