..Respondents (Suo-moto impleaded as the 6th respondent in W.P.No.18249 of 2020, dated 12.12.2020) Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to take appropriate action on his representation dated 24.01.2020, seeking to cancel the patta granted in favour of the respondents 3 to 5 in Survey Nos.373/3, 373/4, 373/5, within a stipulated time. For Petitioner : Mr.B.Jawahar For Respondents : Mr.Aruldoss, learned Government Advocate.

O R D E R

'The Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruvannamalai' is suomoto impleaded as the 6th respondent in this writ petition.

2. This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to take action on the representation made by the petitioner dated 24.01.2020, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

seeking for cancellation of the patta granted in favour of the respondents 3 to 5.

3. Mr.Aruldoss, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents 1,2 & 6 submitted that the 2nd respondent will conduct an enquiry and will submit a report before the 6th respondent. Thereafter, the 6th respondent will pass orders in accordance with law within a limited time prescribed by this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case and considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to issue notice to the petitioner and the respondents 3 to 5 and fix a date for enquiry. The respondent shall offer opportunity to the parties and conduct enquiry and shall submit the report before the 6th respondent within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The 6th respondent on receipt of the report, shall pass final orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the report. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the second respondent along with all the relevant documents.

5. This writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
