ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to consider petitioner's application dated 17.07.2023 and to issue patta in favour of the petitioner with regard to the land in Old Survey No.185/1, New Survey No.318/8, 9, 10, 11 at Thenkiranur Village, Kallakurichi Taluk and District within the time framed fixed by this Court.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he purchased the subject property to an extent of 2565 sq.ft. through a registered sale deed vide Document No.610 of 1994 and he is in absolute possession and enjoyment of the property since the date of purchase. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has given an application for issuance of patta in his favour, the same has not been considered by the respondents till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 2/4

5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the respondents are directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 17.07.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
