ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking directions to the learned Magistrate No.I, Poonamallee, for speedy disposal of the case in C.C.No.47 of 2024.

According to learned counsel for the petitioner, the first respondent/accused lured a sum of Rs.51,86,000/- from various persons under the guise of procuring job for them and believing the words of the accused, the petitioner paid Rs.10,00,000/- for getting job. The complaint is of the year 2018 and after six years, charge sheet was filed in the year 2024. The respondent police are not showing any interest in conducting the case. Therefore it is necessary to issue directions to the trial Court for speedy disposal.

The Hon'ble Supreme Court vide its order dated 25.11.2024 in Criminal Appeal No.4758 of 2024 has given directions that the Constitutional Courts shall issue directions for the time-bound disposal of cases only in an exceptional circumstances. Therefore this Court is not 2/4

inclined to give any directions for speedy disposal. However, since the complaint is of the year 2018, the learned Magistrate is directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.47 of 2024 as early as possible. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
