ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioners.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. On a complaint given by one Dhanakodi, against Govindaraj and two others, the respondent police have conducted an enquiry in CSR.No. 37 of 2016. The petitioner is the father-in-law of Govindaraj and therefore, the police had called him to find out whereabouts of Govindaraj.

4. Under such circumstances, blanket order of 'not to harass' cannot be passed. The petitioners shall co-operate with the enquiry for the respondent police and during the course of enquiry, they shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused.
