ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Certiorari to set aside the award dated 08.02.2019 in I.D.No.367 of 2017 on the file of the I Additional Labour Court, Chennai.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, it is reported by the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the respondent that the issue involved in this Writ Petition has already been settled out of the Court by the parties under Section 18 (1) of the Industrial Disputes Act. The petitioner also filed a original settlement under Section 18 (1) of the Industrial Disputes Act signed by the respondent employee, wherein it is stated that the amount of Rs.1,75,000/- was paid to the workmen as settlement.

3. In view of the settlement arrived at out side the Court, cause does not survive any more for the petitioner to prosecute this case. Therefore, the petition is required to be disposed of as deemed to be settled out of the Court as per the settlement under Section 18 (1) of the Industrial Disputes Act. The settlement arrived under Section 18 (1) of the Industrial Disputes Act, dated 04.03.2024 is directed to be a part of the record.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 01.04.2024 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No dna 3/4
