ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant an alternative residence area to the petitioner within a stipulated period.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was evicted by the respondents with an assurance that an alternative residence will be provided to them, however, the respondents have not arranged for any alternative residence to the petitioner. The petitioner made several representations to the respondents for alternative residence and the last of such representations was made on 08.05.2024, however, there is no response. Hence, this Court may, without going into the merits of the case, issue direction to the 2/5

respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and to pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame.

3.Considering the limited relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2024, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
