Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus against the detention order passed by the second respondent in 344/BCDFGISSSV/2019 dated 22.06.2019 directing the respondents to produce the detenu Mohamed Rizwan, aged about 35 years, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in No. 344/BCDFGISSSV/2019 dated 22.06.2019, detaining his brother as "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.2999 Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 16.08.2019 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
