Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to pass an order or direction, directing the Principal District and Sessions Judge at Tiruvarur to consider the bail application of the petitioner on his surrender in connection with the case in Crime No.446 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Harithuvaramangalam Police Station, Tiruvarur district on the same day.

ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been laid by the petitioner seeking direction to the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tiruvarur, to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of his surrender in Crime No.446 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Harithuvaramangalm Police Station, Tiruvarur District,
2. The petitioner is arrayed as accused in crime No.446 of 2020 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 506(1) of IPC and 3(1) (r), 3 (1) (s) of SC/ST (Prevention of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Atrocities) Amendment Act 2015 and 4 of Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. Now according to the petitioner, he has not committed the offences put forth against him and on account of the false case alleged against him, the petitioner is necessitated to seek for necessary directions.
3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice, I deem it fit to issue the following directions.
(i) The petitioner shall surrender before the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tiruvarur, within 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
(ii) On the petitioner surrendering before the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tiruvarur, and filing the bail application, the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tiruvarur , is directed to consider and dispose of the bail application as expeditiously as possible, preferably on the date of his surrender in accordance with law.
4. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
