Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to dispose the claim pending before the 4th respondent by disbursing a sum of Rs.1,13,720/- paid by the petitioner towards his medical expenses and also to direct the respondents to pay compensation for the delay in proceeding and disbursing the claim.

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to dispose the claim pending before the 4th respondent by disbursing a sum of Rs.1,13,720/- paid by the petitioner towards his medical expenses and also to direct the respondents to pay compensation for the delay in proceeding and disbursing the claim.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that he is a pensioner and he underwent medical treatment and incurred an expenditure of Rs.1,13,720/- It is the grievance of the petitioner that, though he submitted several

applications to the respondents to reimburse the medical expenses incurred by him, the same did not evoke any response. Hence, the writ. 3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, after filing this writ petition, a sum of Rs.74,500/- has been settled to the petitioner towards the medical expenses incurred by him. The said submission is recorded. 4.Since the grievance of the petitioner is sufficiently redressed, no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed.
