2.Ramesh Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to call for the records and to quash the FIR in Crime No.154 of 2023 dated 07.02.2023 for offences under Sections 9, 16, 17, 18 of the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976 and Sections 341, 344, 374, 370(3), 509, 506(1) IPC as against the petitioner.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.154 of 2023 pending investigation on the file of the 1st respondent.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that investigation was completed and final report was filed before the learned Principal District Court, Thiruvallur on 27.06.2023 and a copy of the final report was also placed before this Court. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that the final report is yet to be taken on file.

3.In view of the above development, there is no scope for interfering with the FIR at this stage. There shall be a direction to the learned Principal District Court, Thiruvallur to act upon the final report, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If ultimately, the Court below takes cognizance of the final report and any summons is issued to the petitioner and the petitioner is aggrieved by the same, it is left open to the petitioner to workout his remedy in accordance with law.
