This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondent to file a charge sheet in Crime No.772 of 2024 before the concerned Magistrate within a specified time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondentPolice and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner lodged a complaint as against the accused persons before the respondent-Police on 20.10.2024 and the same was registered in Crime No.772 of 2024 for the offences under Sections 191(2), 329(1) and 126(2) of BNS 2023. The respondent-Police has neither completed the investigation nor filed a charge sheet before the Magistrate concerned so far. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to file this criminal original petition.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondentPolice sought time to complete the investigation.

5. In view of the above submission, the respondent-Police is directed to complete the investigation and file a charge sheet within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
