This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to make corrections in Patta/Chitta ad-measuring an extent of 0.05 cents to 0.09 cents as per sale deed dated 09.11.1970 registered as Document No.2436 of 1970 on the file of Sub Registrar, Dharapuram by considering petitioner's representation dated 11.03.2023.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that his property was re-surveyed and the survey number was changed from 853 to new Re-Survey No.342/2 and the respondents have mistakenly printed the extent of property as 0.05 cents in Page 2/4

Patta/Chitta instead of 0.09 cents, as per the registered sale deed dated 09.11.1970. To correct the said mistake he has sent two representations on 11.03.2023 and 23.06.2023. As there was inaction on the part of the respondents, this writ petition has been filed.

Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.03.2023 and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation for modification in the extent of the land situated in Re-Survey No.342/2, Kangeyampalayam Village, Dharapuram Taluk, Tiruppur District, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the neighbouring land owners and any other interested persons.
