The Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for willful disobedience of the order of this Court in W.P.Nos.11309 & 17656 of 2020 dated 27.01.2023.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing on either side confirmed the fact that the amount that is due and payable to the petitioner has been handed over by way of two cheques today.

3.This Court directs the respondent to continue to pay the wages / salary to which the petitioner is entitled till the disposal of the Writ Appeal pending in W.A.Nos.641 & 645 of 2023. In so far as the claim for backwages is concerned, the same will be decided depending upon the final result in the pending Writ Appeals. Depending upon the final result, the petitioner can revive the contempt petition if the backwages are not paid.
