Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2024 for selection of the post of Animal Husbandry Assistant on the priority category reserved for persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) by virtue of G.O.Ms.No.82, Human Resources Management (S) Department dated 16.08.2021 and dispose the same.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the second respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 24.02.2024, thereby seeking 20% of reservation under PSTM quota.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on records.

3. The petitioner having been applied for the post of Animal Husbandry Assistant as per the notification issued by the second respondent in the year 2018. After having been failed in the selection process and after a period of six years, the petitioner submitted a representation seeking priority

category reservation for the persons studied in Tamil Medium by virtue of G.O.Ms.No.82, Human Resources Management (S) Department, dated 16.08.2021. At the time of notification, there was no order for priority category reservation for the persons studied in Tamil Medium.

4. In view of the above, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered. Thus, the writ petition itself is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
