J.
The petitioner namely Suresh @ Jalal, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 03.06.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B), 22(b) and 29(1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.238 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is falsely implicated as an accused in Crime No.238 of 2023 for the offences Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B), 22(b) and 29(1) of NDPS Act. Petitioner is in judicial custody from 03.06.2023. Thus, he prays for grant of bail.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, opposes this petition, on the ground that, on 03.06.2023, at about 5.30 a.m., on a secret information, respondent police mounted surveillance near Kannagi Nagar, Government Hospital, and found the accused in a suspicious circumstances. During the course of investigation, accused produced 1.300 kgs of ganja and 15 Tydol tablets and 20 Nitravet-10 tablets. The contraband were seized by following the necessary procedure and then first information report came to be registered. It is further submitted that, 1/4
petitioner has 2 similar cases pending against him. Therefore, he strongly opposed this petition.
4. In the light of the facts and that petitioner was found in illegal possession of psychotropic substances and that, he has 2 similar cases pending, and that investigation is not completed, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 24.07.2023 gd 2/4
