ORDER

The petitioner has applied for accommodation from the first respondent Tamilnadu Slum Clearance Board Vide a representation dated 13.04.2022, which is pending with it.

2.Mr.G.Venkatesan, learned counsel takes notice for the first respondent and states that Vide its proceedings dated 09.09.2019, the first respondent has already rejected the request of the petitioner for allotment of an accommodation, essentially on the ground that the petitioner is in occupation of a rented house.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is literally living in a dingy house and states that it is just to protect her dignity and modesty of her family, she is constrained to stay there, for paying rent for which, she struggles a lot.

4.This Court now directs the first respondent to nominate one of his officials to make a personal visit to the petitioner's rented house after giving due notice and is required to take a fresh call on the representation of the petitioner now pending with it.
