This petition is filed to condone the delay of 40 days in filing the Criminal Appeal against the judgment of conviction and sentence dated 19.01.2024 in Spl.S.C.No.67 of 2022 on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court under POCSO Act, Nagapattinam pending disposal of the Criminal Appeal.

2. This Court is convinced with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition. Since the delay has been satisfactorily explained, the delay is condoned and this petition is allowed.
