The petitioner is a senior citizen, who has approached the District Collector/first respondent with an appeal under Section 16 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 and she seeks an expeditious disposal of the same. 2.Mr.A.Anandan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the first respondent.

3.The first respondent is now required to dispose of the appeal within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the second respondent herein.
