ORDER
By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner would state that his wife, namely, C.Deivanai, working in the services of the State Bank of India, Zonal Office, Coimbatore, died on 30.05.2016 and the Death Certificate was also issued by Sreeram Nursing Home, Coimbatore as well as the cremation certificate was also issued by the President, Melaisivapuri Village, Pudukottai District on 31.05.2016. The petitioner had submitted a representation dated 08.07.2016 to the 1st respondent praying for issuance of the Death Certificate in respect of his wife, to him and since it has not been disposed of, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate who accepts https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
notice on behalf of the respondents.
Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 08.07.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction and observation. No costs.
