(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.K.Selvaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, for respondents 1 to 6.

2. Contention of the petitioner is that there is an encroachment on the irrigation canal.

Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader submits that steps, in accordance with law, would be undertaken.

4. In view of the statement made, no orders are necessary in

the writ petition. The writ petition as such is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
