ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) and Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act in Crime No.66 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that based on the confidential information on 23.04.2025, the respondent police conducted search and found the co-accused in possession of 1kg 500 gram ganja and based on his confession, the petitioner has been implicated in this case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. Learned counsel further submitted that petitioner is ready to abide by any condition and prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution's case and strongly opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the stage of investigation, the overtact levelled against this petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for by the petitioner.
