ORDER

This petition has been filed to set aside the returned docket order dated 11.03.2026 passed in Copy Application No.32 of 2026 in CC.No.36 of 2013 on the file of the learned IX Additional City Civil Court, Chennai (Special Court for CBI Cases) and consequently direct the respondent/prosecution to furnish the certified copies of all documents in C.A.No.32 of 2026.

2. The facts of the case is that the petitioner is an accused in CC.No.36 of 2013 on the file of the learned IX Additional City Civil Court, Chennai (Special Court for CBI Cases) for the offence punishable under Section 120B r/w 420, 477-A and Section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c) & d of the Pc Act, 1988. The petitioner was duly served with the copies by the trial Court as contemplated under section 207 of Cr.P.C. Once again the petitioner sought for copies of the entire proceedings and filed a Copy Application and the same was rejected for the reason that the entire records consists of 30,000 pages.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Trial Court can furnish the copies at the cost of the petitioner and the learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent accedes to the same.

4. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to furnish the entire certified copies of all documents in C.A.No.32 of 2026 as sought for by the petitioner as contemplated under section 207 of Cr.P.C at the cost of the petitioner. It is also made clear that the trial Court is directed to proceed with the trial including framing of charges without causing any delay and waiting for the copies to be furnished to the petitioner.

5. With the above directions this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
