ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide compassionate appointment to the Petitioner based on the representation dated 03.10.2020, due to the death of his father P.Kumar, in harness on 16.11.2011. 2.The learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner's father was working as TCL in Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and he died on 16.11.2011, while he was working. After the death of the 2/6
deceased Father, the Mother of the Petitioner deserted her and her brother and lived with another person. The Petitioner got married on 19.10.2018 and her husband also deserted her and at present she is living separately. The Petitioner submitted application for compassionate appointment to the Respondents in the year 2015 and another representation on 16.12.2019. 3.The learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondents submitted that the Petitioner is not a permanent employee of the Respondent Board and the Petitioner's mother viz., Ezhilarasi was working as Mazdoor in Tamil Nadu Electricity Board at Sholinganallur and hence, the Board has rightly rejected the Petitioner's application for compassionate appointment.
4.Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the Respondents. 5.The Petitioner does not come under the purview of the compassionate appointment scheme. In view of the temporary 3/6
appointment of the deceased Father, the Petitioner cannot claim appointment on compassionate ground. In fact, the Petitioner's earlier representation was considered and the same was rejected by the Respondent Board on 07.05.2015. But the Petitioner failed to challenge the above said order and it holds good.
