ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to process the application submitted by the petitioner and to renew/reissuance of passport.
2.The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the 2nd respondent submitted that an FIR came to be registered in Crime No.11 of 2015 and on completion of the investigation, the police report was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Chidambaram, which was taken on file in C.C.No.135 of 2016.
3/6 3.The typed set of papers filed on behalf of the 1st respondent shows that a negative police report was received from the 2nd respondent and hence, the 1st respondent directed the petitioner to get the permission from the concerned Court.
4.In the considered view of this Court, the issue involved is covered by the order passed by the Division Bench in W.A.No.902 of 2023, dated 02.06.2023. For the sake of renewal, Court permission is not required and the Court permission will arise only when the accused person wants to leave the country.
5.In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to process the application and renew/reissue the passport, if the petitioner has satisfied all the other requirements. This process shall be completed, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
