ORDER

The petitioners who are A1 and A2 in Crime No.32 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, were granted statutory bail in Cril.M.P.No.2589 of 2026 on 25.05.2026 by the learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate / IX Judicial Magistrate, Court of IX Metropolitan Magistrate / IX Judicial Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai. One of the condition is that the petitioners to execute a bond for a sum of Rs.25,00,000/- with two sureties each for like sum and the two sureties must be within the Chennai limit. Aggrieved by the same, the present petition has been filed.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the prosecution in this case is between the defacto complainant and one Govaram, who was his employee. The petitioners states that they are only known to Govaram and they are falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioners are hailing from the State of Rajasthan and hence, they do not have any local relatives in Chennai who can stand as sureties for a sum of Rs.25,00,000/-. Hence, he seeks modification of the order dated 25.05.2026 in Crl.M.P.No.2589 of 2026.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the primary reason for that condition is that the petitioners to be available during interrogation and to cooperate with the trial. 4.In view of the above submissions, as regards the condition (a) imposed in the order dated 25.05.2026 in Crl.M.P.No.2589 of 2026, it has been stated that the petitioners to appear before the Court daily at 10.00 AM and directed to appear before the respondent police daily at 06.30 PM and during holidays, they must appear before the respondent police station daily at 10.00 AM and 06.30 PM and sign before the investigation officer, is modified as follows:- "(a)The petitioners shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30 AM and 06.30 PM and sign before the Investigation Officer until further orders."

5.As regards condition (b) imposed in the order dated 25.05.2026 in Crl.M.P.No.2589 of 2026, it has been stated that the petitioners shall execute a bond for Rs.25,00,000/- with two sureties each for like sum. The two sureties must be within a Chennai limit. The condition of two sureties must be within Chennai limit is not necessary and the same is deleted and the surety amount is modified. Thus, condition (b) is modified as follows:- 3 / 6

"(b)The petitioners shall execute a bond for Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs Only) with two sureties each for like sum."

6.The remaining conditions (i.e.,) conditions (c), (d), (e) and (f), imposed by learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate / IX Judicial Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, in Crl.M.P.No.2589 of 2026 vide order dated 25.05.2026, remains unaltered and stands confirmed.

7.With the above modifications, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. No costs.
