This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondent to refix the seniority of the petitioner in the cadre of Deputy Block Development Officer by following the seniority list of Assistant fixed in the proceedings Na.Ka.No.2082/ 2023/ K3 dated 27.05.2024 of the respondent herein without insisting for service qualification with all consequential benefits such as retrospective promotion etc., For Petitioner(s):

Order This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondent to refix the seniority of the petitioner in the cadre of Deputy Block Development Officer by following the seniority list of Assistant fixed in the proceedings Na.Ka.No.2082/ 2023/ K3 dated 27.05.2024 of the respondent herein without insisting for service qualification with all consequential benefits such as retrospective promotion etc.,"
2. The petitioner was initially appointed to the post of Typist and joined the service on 14.10.2009 at the office of the District Collector, Uthagamandalam District. The grievance of the petitioner is that her seniority was wrongly fixed and therefore, she made a representation dated 30.04.2026. Since there is no response, the petitioner is before this Court for the aforesaid relief.
3. Heard the learned counsels on the either side and perused the records.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the respondent as there is no proof of the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2026 being received by the respondent. The said representation shall be given within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and within a period of 4 weeks therefrom, the orders shall be passed on mertis and in accordance with law.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
