ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to issue patta in respect of the petitioner's land comprised in Old Survey No.355/1, New Survey No.425/1 in Govindareddypalayam Village, Boodhur Madura Village, Vellore Taluk, now Anaicut Taluk, Vellore District, measuring to an extent of 0.07 Cent or 3052 Sq.ft., or thereabouts by considering the petitioner's representation dated
09.08.2021 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

According to the petitioner, he had purchased the land comprised in Old Survey No.355/1, New Survey No.425/1 in Govindareddypalayam Village, Boodhur Madura Village, Vellore Taluk, now Anaicut Taluk, Vellore District, measuring to an extent of 0.07 Cent or 3052 Sq.ft., by way of registered as Sale Deed in Document No.7587 of 2011, dated 28.06.2011 on the file of Joint Sub Registrar-II of Vellore, from one P.Kannabiran, S/o. Putta Mandiri and he is in absolute possession and enjoyment of the property. Subsequently, he had made an application to the 2nd respondent to measure the above referred property and issue patta in favour of him and the same was received by the respondents, have not considered the same. Based on the above said Sale Deed, the petitioner is seeking patta in his favour, but, till date, no action has been taken by the respondents. Hence this petition.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner had applied for issuance of patta by way of representation dated 09.08.2021 to the second respondent/Tahsildar submitted by him. Now, modus has been changed by the Revenue Department in respect of issuing Patta. Therefore, the petitioner has to submit fresh an application through on-line before the Competent Authority for obtaining the same.
4. Heard both side and perused the records.

In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case and submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is of the view that the Writ Petition is disposed of, the petitioner is directed to apply fresh application through online for issuance of Patta on or before 05.11.2021 along with all the relevant documents and representation dated 21.08.2021. On receipt of such an application submitted by the petitioner, the second respondent is hereby directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and necessary parties concerned within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
