ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondent to pay interest to the petitioner on the delayed payment of his retirement benefits such as Death Cum Retirement Gratuity (DCRG), Commutation of Pension and Pension Arrears at the rate of 12% per annum for the period from 31.05.1999 to 09.02.2022 within a time limit to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 07.03.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
