Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to register the Settlement Deed dated 13.11.2020 vide TP/97299500/2020 on 17.11.2020 executed by the petitioner in favour of his son in respect of the property situate at No.91, Anjur Village, Kattankolathur Panchayat Union, Chengalpattu Taluk and District, comprised in Survey No.262/6 measuring an extent of 0.12.0 ares(30 cents) and Survey No.262/14 measuring an extent 12 cents out of 24 cents i.e. 5232 sp.ft in all totaling to an extent of 42 cents.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to register the Settlement Deed dated 13.11.2020 vide TP/97299500/2020 on 17.11.2020 executed by the petitioner in favour of his son in respect of the property situate at No.91, Anjur Village, Kattankolathur Panchayat Union, Chengalpattu Taluk and District, comprised in Survey No.262/6 measuring an extent of 0.12.0 ares(30 cents) and Survey No.262/14 measuring an extent 12 cents out of 24 cents i.e. 5232 sp.ft in all totaling to an extent of 42 cents. 2.Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that if the petitioner may produce the original Settlement Deed along with other supporting documents, in original, before the registering authority, the documents will be received for registration.

3.The said statement of the learned Special Government Pleader is recorded.

4.Inasmuch as an affirmative statement has been made by the learned counsel for the respondents, this Court now requires the petitioner to make available all the original documents before the concerned Sub-Registry and the Sub Registrar may confine his enquiry only to the relevant particulars needed for registering a document and may not conduct himself as a civil Court. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
