ORDER
The petitioner has come to this Court seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the classification made in 1984 land settlement register in respect of his property situated in S.No.171/1, Uthamachozhapuram Village, Salem South Taluk, Salem District and to issue patta as per his representation dated 10.04.2017.
2.The petitioner claims to be an absolute owner of the land covered in Survey No.171/1 to an extent of 2.711⁄2 acres in Uthamachozhapuram Village, Salem South Taluk and the same was purchased by his father Namperumal Gounder from Palanivel https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Gounder and others under a registered Sale Deed in the year 1961 vide Document No.293/1961 dated 30.01.1961. After the death of his father, he has been enjoying the above land. In the year 1984, the above land was classified as Government Poramboke (Non Assessed Kist Dharusu). On coming to know the same, the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent seeking to issue patta in his favour by annexing the copy of the sale deed and necessary documents. Finding no response, the petitioner is before this Court.
3.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that if a fresh representation is given along with the settlement register, adangal, necessary documents and a copy of this order, the same may be considered. 4.Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation along with the above necessary documents enclosing the copy of this order. After receipt of the same, the respondents are directed to consider the same and pass orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.In view of the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
