O R D E R

Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the 1st respondent. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to transfer the Patta No.90 in Survey No.2/40A for the remaining land measuring an extent of 1.8 Ares in S.No.2/40A in the name https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of East Coast Road as sought in his representation dated 27.2.2018, within a time frame.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that at present the petitioner is not the owner of the property mentioned above and that he is not in possession of the same, therefore, the patta standing in the name of the petitioner should be cancelled, considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2018.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the 1st respondent submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders, in accordance with law.

5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2018 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
