ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondent to pass Orders on the petitioner representation dated 04.03.2021 and considering the letter of the Tahsildar, Coimbatore North Taluk dated 22.12.2021 within the time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that subject land has been assigned to the father of the petitioner by the Tahsildar vide proceedings dated 08.01.2002. After the death of his father, the petitioner submitted an application to the Tahsildar for changing his name in the revenue records including the patta. But the same was not considered by the Tahsildar till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited relief sought for in the Writ Petition, respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 04.03.2021 and pass Order on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
