COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions have been filed to direct the third respondent to grant patta to the members of the petitioner Association in respect of the land comprised in S.No.657/3A3 situated at Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District.

Heard Mr.R.Chandrasekaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, Mr. A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 3 and Ms. Karthika Ashok, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent in both Writ Petitions.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 3 submitted that the petitioners have applied for patta for the property comprised in S.No.657/3A3 situated at Sholinganallur Taluk, Chennai District, before the third respondent. On receipt of the same, the third respondent issued summon to the petitioners for the enquiry to be held on 02.11.2021. He also produced the copy of the proceeding in Na.Ka.4348/ 2021/R1 dated 18.10.2021.

Considering the above submission, the third respondent is directed to conduct enquiry as per the proceeding in Na.Ka.4348/2021/R1 dated 18.10.2021, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and the counter party if any, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

With the above directions, both the Writ Petitions stand disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
