Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent namely the Director, Director of Tribal Welfare Department, Chepauk, Chennai to consider and pass orders within the stipulated time on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 3.1.2024.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 3.1.2024.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that no orders have been passed by the State Level Scrutiny Committee upon verification of the community certificate of the petitioner and, in view of the same, the service of the petitioner has not been regularized.

3. Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, learned State Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that reports of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Cell, Villupuram District, Anthropologist and the Revenue Divisional Officer are

received and the same will be placed before the State Level Scrutiny Committee and an enquiry will be conducted by the State Level Scrutiny Committee and within eight weeks time, appropriate decision would be taken in this matter.

4. In the light of the said statement made by learned State Government Pleader, no further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
