This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.880 of 2020, on the file of the Inspector of Police, Teynampet Police Station, Chennai City, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 27.10.2020, no final report is filed till date.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of one month.

5.In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation 2/4

to the de-facto complainant.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
