ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 9 and 10 of Child Marriage Act, in Crime No.121 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant (mother of the victim girl) lodged a complaint on 21.05.2026, alleging that her daughter(the victim girl) had developed a love affair with the petitioner.

Consequently, the de facto complainant reprimanded both her daughter and the petitioner, directing them to discontinue their relationship. Subsequently, the victim girl went missing. Hence, the case.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the case. He further submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail the petitioner. 4.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police submits that the allegations in this case are serious in nature. He further submits that there are no adverse antecedents against the petitioner. However, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.

Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) and the serious nature of allegation and noting that the petitioner is 32 years old while the victim girl is 17 years old, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
