ORDER
(This case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.11 of 2021 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent within a time frame as stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent police.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 23.06.2021, no final report is filed till date. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents Police would submit that in this case, the petitioner along with other accused involved in creation of forged certificates for Covid-19 patients. The documents have to be sent to the Forensic Department. Further, awaiting clarifications from Cyber crime and after getting report from Cyber Crime and Forensic department, final report would be filed. In view of the same, learned Govt. Advocate seeks six months time.
5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.
6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
