ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition to call for the records pertaining to the FIR in Crime No.278 of 2012 pending on the file of the first respondent and quash the same.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in the case in Crime No.278 of 2012, after completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Kattumannarkoil and the same was taken on file as CC No.78 of 2015. Subsequently, after trial, the petitioner was also acquitted from the charges by order dated 23.03.2016. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Since the charge sheet has already been filed in Crime No.278 of 2012 and the case ended in acquittal, nothing survives for adjudication in this matter. Hence, recording the submission so made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
