ORDER
[Order of the court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the application dated 24.01.2023 for the grant of recognition and registration under Section 13 of the Tamil Nadu Advocates Welfare Funds Act, 1987, the petitioner has preferred the present petition.

It is the case of the petitioner that Pallavaram District Munsifcum-Judicial Magistrate Court at Pallavaram was established in the month of November 2022 and the Advocates practicing therein formed an association viz. Pallavaram Law Association and registered the same under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, in the office of the Registrar, South Chennai. Thereafter, the petitioner filed an application dated 24.01.2023 before the respondent for the grant of recognition and registration of the same under Section 13 of the Tamil Nadu Advocates Welfare Funds Act, 1987. Since the said representation has not 2/4
been considered till date, the petitioner is before this court with the present writ petition.

Heard both sides and perused the documents enclosed in the typed set of papers.

Considering the limited relief sought herein, this court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 24.01.2023, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
