ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to survey the land and lay boundary stone in the petitioner's property comprised in S.No.518/68, measuring about 2400 sq.ft., situated at Morai Village, Avadi Taluk, Thiruvallur District as per challan dated 24.05.2025 by the petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2025 within a stipulated time fixed by this court.
3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner's wife purchased the subject property vide sale deed Doc No.14186 of 2024 dated 30.09.2024 on the file of SRO, Avadi. The Tahsildar, Avadi has issued patta in Patta No.10126 in respect of the subject property in favour of petitioner's wife. Subsequently, petitioner's wife executed a settlement deed in Doc No.4840 of 2025 dated 01.04.2025 on the file of SRO, Avadi in favour of the petitioner in respect of the subject property and patta was issued to the 2/5
petitioner in patta No.16460 in respect of the subject property. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted online application dated 24.05.2025 to carry out survey and lay boundary stone in the subject property and has also paid necessary charges. However, the said application was not considered by the respondents. Hence the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

On this being pointed out, the learned Special Government Pleader would submit that they would consider the petitioner's application dated 24.05.2025 and carry out survey and lay boundary stone in the subject property and complete the process within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view thereof, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider petitioner's application dated 24.05.2025 and survey and lay boundary stone in the subject property and complete the process within a period of 8 weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in 3/5
accordance with law.
