The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay the petitioner interest @ 6% for the belated payment of terminal benefits such as Gratuity, Leave Salary, Commutation of pension amount and Provident Fund to the petitioner for the period from 30.06.2023 (Date of Retirement) till the date of settlement within a time framed fixed by this Court.

It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had retired from the services of the 1st respondent on 30.06.2023 as Deputy Manager (Technical), and made a representation dated 31.05.2025 to the 1st respondent seeking interest for the belated payment of the terminal benefits, there was no response for the same. 2/5
3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

Though there is disputed facts between the parties, taking into consideration of the fact that the representation made by the petitioner is yet to be considered, this Court without going into merits of the matter, deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to pay the eligible and admissible amount with interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a coy of this order.
5. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
