The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 2nd respondent to upload Epatta in respect of his property in S.No.25B/2A at Selaiyur village, Tambaram Taluk, Chengalpattu District.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he purchased the above mentioned property under registered sale deed dated 06.07.1992. The manual patta for the above mentioned property was issued in the name of the petitioner. However, the same has not been uploaded in the online portal. Thereafter, the petitioner issued a legal notice seeking updation of E-records. The District Revenue Officer, Chengalpet, based on the legal notice issued by the petitioner, directed the 2nd respondent to consider the request of the petitioner for updation of Erecords pertains to S.No.25B/2A and pass necessary orders in his proceedings O.Mu.No.003614/2024/Aa4 dated 08.05.2024. In spite of the same, the 2nd respondent has not passed any orders. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.
3. The learned Government Advocate, who is taking notice for the 2/5
respondents 1 to 3, submits that 2nd respondent would consider the request of the petitioner for updation of E-records as per the order passed by the District Revenue Officer, Chengalpet dated 08.05.2024.
4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry on the request made by the petitioner as per the directions issued by the District Revenue Officer, Chengalpet in his proceedings O.Mu.No.003614/2024/Aa4 dated 08.05.2024 and pass final orders on its' own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
