ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.)
1. This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the Respondent for the wilful disobedience of the order dated of this Court, dated 16.09.2022, 1/3
passed in WP.No.33559 of 2016.
2. There is no representation for the Petitioner.
3. The learned counsel for the Respondent has filed a status report before this Court and also a communication, dated 24.11.2023 received from the Bank, confirming the payment made through the Indian Overseas Bank to the account of the Petitioner in the Contempt Petition.
4. It is to be noted that a sum of Rs.6,64,883/- has been credited to the account of the Petitioner. Having regard to the statement of the learned counsel for the Respondent and the communication received from the Bank, dated 24.11.2023, this Court finds that the contention of the Petitioner that the Respondents have not complied with the directions of this Court is not sustainable, as it is not supported by documents. Hence, recording the statement of the learned counsel for the Respondent and the communication dated 24.11.2023 and considering the fact that the direction of this Court has been complied with as is evident from the communication received from the Bank, dated 24.11.2023, produced before this Court, this Contempt Petition is closed. No costs. (S.S.S.R.J.) & (N.S.J.) 2/3
